Ethamo is a hemostatic medication. It is used to reduce blood loss in a situation, like dysfunctional uterine bleeding, melena, epistaxis, and menstrual blood loss. It also decreases blood loss after surgery.
Ethamo prevents blood loss by correcting the platelet adhesion abnormality. Thus it helps to stabilize the blood loss. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have porphyria, fibroids, coeliac disease, liver disease, heart disease, or kidney dysfunction. Do not take excess medicine than recommended by your physician. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine.
The most common side effects of this medication are skin rash, vomiting, headache, nausea, and diarrhoea. These side effects persist for a shorter duration. If you experience them for a longer duration, inform your doctor.
