epirubitec injection is an anti-cancer medication. it works by forming a complex with dna by intercalation between base pairs and inhibiting nucleic acid (dna and rna) and protein synthesis. this intercalation inhibits topoisomerase ii activity and inhibits cell growth. it also interferes with dna replication and transcription by inhibiting dna helicase activity.
