Oxetacaine, a local anaesthetic, helps in reducing stomach pain due to ulcers by numbing the ulcer areas. Simethicone helps disintegrate gas bubbles, thereby helping in the passage of gas.
DIGECAINE syrup is used alone or in combination with other medications. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on This medication as It may lead to increased bowel irritation.
The most common side effects of This medication are constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, and drowsiness. Tell your doctor or pharmacist If you notice or suspect any of these side effects. Avoid taking any medications 1 to 2 hours after taking DIGECAINE syrup.
