depopred injection is a corticosteroid used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, allergic conditions, systemic lupus erythematosus, eye and skin disorders by reducing swelling and redness and changing the way the immune system works.
this medication may cause thinning of the skin, impaired wound healing, fluid retention, decreased body growth, peptic ulcer disease, muscle weakness, cataract, depression, euphoria, congestive heart failure, or seizure. consult your doctor if these effects worsen your condition.
your doctor may advise you to monitor your blood glucose levels as the medication may cause hyperglycemia. avoid vaccination while using this medication. and also recommended monitoring bone density and blood pressure. avoid alcohol consumption while you are on depopred therapy. and also, avoid driving as it may cause dizziness, vertigo, visual disturbances and fatigue, which may affect your ability to drive.
please do not exceed more than the recommended dose as it may lead to toxicity and adverse effects. do not stop the medication. you have to complete the course of the medication as prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better. sudden abrupt may lead to severe complications.
inform your doctor if you have diabetes, heart problems, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, depression, stress, tuberculosis and seizures. inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or a lactating mother.
