Delpomont belongs to a class of leukotriene antagonist medication. Delpomont works by blocking the release of leukotriene (chemical messenger), thereby reduces inflammation and swelling of the airways.
Thus it helps in improving symptoms like allergic rhinitis, running nose, itching eye/nose and sneezing. It is used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis, idiopathic urticaria and mild to moderate asthma.
The most common side effects of delpomont syrup are headache, stomach pain, joint pain, rashes, nausea and dry mouth. Most of the symptoms will present only for a shorter period. If you experience the above side effects for a longer duration, inform your doctor immediately.
Tell your doctor if you have epilepsy (fits), kidney and liver problems. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breastfeeding. You can carry out your daily activities while using delpomont syrup.
Delpomont takes some time to show its effectiveness. Continue the medication until your doctor advises. Follow healthy diet habits and do not expose to allergens (dust, smoke).
