CRANN D Tablet is used to treat urinary tract infections (uti). Cranberry contains proanthocyanidins that work by binding to the mannose-resistant adhesions (p-fimbriae) of e.coli and inhibits this bacterium in the urinary tract. D-mannose works by binds to the mannose-sensitive type-1 pili of e.coli bacteria and blocks its attachment to the surface of the urinary tract.
You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor.
This medication's most common side effects are mild gastrointestinal upset such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and gastric reflux.
