Coffdryl-dr syrup is an antitussive agent used to temporarily relieve cough caused by the common cold, flu or other conditions by decreasing the feeling of needing to cough.
This medication may cause side effects such as blurred vision, difficulty in urination, drowsiness or dizziness, nausea or vomiting, shakiness and unsteady walk, slowed breathing, unusual excitement, nervousness, restlessness and irritability. Inform your doctor if these effects bother or worsen your condition or persist for a longer duration. You may advise yourself to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine. Please do not exceed more than the recommended dose as it may lead to toxicity and adverse effects. Do not stop the medication.
Avoid taking this medication for a long duration may lead to addiction. Only use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Addiction may cause withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking this syrup. Withdrawal symptoms may include restlessness, difficulty sleeping, irritability, agitation, anxiety, feeling your heartbeat, increased blood pressure, feeling or being sick, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, shaking, shivering or sweating.
You have to complete the course of the medication as prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better. Sudden abruptness may lead to severe complications. Avoid alcohol consumption and smoking while taking this medicine as it may increase side effects. Inform your doctor if you are taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics. This drug may interact with these medicines and experience mental status changes.
