clavodox tablet, is used to treat bacterial infections, especially respiratory tract infections. these respiratory tract infections can affect the sinus, throat, airways or lungs. CLAVODOX work together to prevent bacterial infection by killing bacteria that cause infection. potassium clavulanate is used to reduce bacterial resistance and increase the activity of cefpodoxime against bacteria. it usually takes few days to make you feel better, but it is recommended to complete the course of treatment. stopping the course incomplete can lead to bacterial resistance and re-infection.
it can be taken with or without food. you should take it as prescribed by the doctor. it is recommended to take at a fixed time. the dose depends on the infection. the most common side effects of this medicine are vomiting, nausea, metallic taste and diarrhoea. these side effects are usually minor and not severe. if the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, or have liver & kidney problems and using any other medications.
