CETANIL-O 10TAB

CETANIL-O tablet is an anti-hypertensive used to treat high blood pressure. it works by relaxing the constricted blood vessels and ultimately lowering the blood pressure.
cetanil tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications. you are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. you must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor, as it may lead to abnormal blood pressure spikes.

alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lower the blood pressure and cause dizziness, headache and changes in heart rate.

this medication's most common side effects are ankle swelling, headache, dizziness, tiredness, palpitations, the increased potassium level in blood, sleepiness, taste change, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk). you may be prescribed folic acid supplements to reduce some of these effects. if the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately.

your doctor may advise specific tests while on this medication to assess your kidney function and may also monitor your blood pressure frequently.

before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medications. this medication is not recommended in pregnancy as it may harm the baby. your doctor may prescribe this medication to you while pregnant only in some life-threatening situations if the benefits outweigh the potential risks.
