BROCLEAR tablets are used to treat, prevent asthma & symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (lung disease in which airflow to the lungs is blocked). these include coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. it helps relax the airway muscles, making breathing easier.
this tablet contains two drugs as active ingredients: acebrophyllin and acetylcysteine. acebrophyllin is a mucolytic and bronchodilator. it works by relaxing the airways' & also by loosening and loosening mucus, which makes breathing easier. acetylcysteine is an expectorant drug. it thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), which causes coughing easier.
these tablets are taken with or without food in the dose and duration recommended by your doctor. the dose will depend on your condition and how you react to the drug. you should take this medicine for as long as your doctor prescribes it. if you stop treatment too soon, your symptoms may return, and your condition may worsen. tell your health care team about any other medicines you are taking as some of them affect or may be affected by this medicine.
the most common side effects are vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, rash, itching, difficulty breathing, and nose infections. most of them are temporary and usually resolved over time. call your doctor right away if you are concerned about any of these side effects. avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can cause excessive drowsiness.
