Barinat tablet is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that relieves pain, tenderness, and swelling in the joints caused due to rheumatoid arthritis by decreasing by reducing inflammation and slowing down the progression of bone and joint damage.
This medication may cause side effects such as throat and nose infections, nausea, viral infection, cold sores, a feeling of sickness, symptoms of a cold like stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, blood clots, and tears the stomach or intestine wall.
Please do not exceed more than the recommended dose as it may lead to toxicity and adverse effects. Do not stop the medication. You have to complete the course of treatment as prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better. Sudden abrupt may lead to severe complications. Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medications.
Consult your doctor immediately if you find symptoms such as fever, wounds, feeling more tired than usual or dental problems as these can be signs of infection.
Barinat tablets may weaken your immune system against infections and make an existing infection worse or strengthen the chances of getting a new infection.
Your doctor may recommend you a tuberculosis test before prescribing this medication.
Inform your doctor if you develop a painful skin rash with blisters barinat therapy as these could be signs of shingles. And also, inform your doctor if you find a painful swollen leg, chest pain, or shortness of breath should be signs of blood clots in the veins.
Your doctor may advise you on blood tests before prescribing or while using it to diagnose any blood disorders such as anaemia, neutropenia or lymphopenia, cholesterol or high levels of liver enzymes to ensure that the drug is not causing any problems.
