Azitus is an antibiotic agent. It is most commonly given to children to treat a wide range of bacterial infections targeting the ear, eyes, nose, throat, lungs, skin and gastrointestinal tract. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria by preventing the multiplication of bacteria.
The dose and duration depend on the infection's type and severity and the child's age and body weight. It would help if you used it as prescribed by the doctor. It is recommended to give at a fixed time. Please don't stop the medicine too early; it may increase the chances of re-infection or worsening symptoms.
The most common side effects of this medicine are vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea and abdominal pain. These side effects are usually minor and not severe but inform the doctor if they do not subside. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your child doctor immediately.
Before taking this medication, inform the doctor if your child has liver & kidney problems and using any other medications.
