Description

Avzol-DSR Capsule is a combination medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease by relieving the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid and promotes easy passage of gas to  reduce stomach discomfort. A pump called the proton pump in the stomach is responsible for the secretion of stomach acids. Rabeprazole binds to this proton pump in stomach cells, thus blocking acid secretion. Domperidone increases the motility of the stomach and intestines so that acid does not reflux back into the food pipe.

Directions for use

• It should be taken as directed by your doctor and in the prescribed quantity.
• Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water before food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
• It would be best if you take it at a fixed time for optimal results.
• Keep it away from the reach of children
• Do not use expired medicine.

Safety Information

• Tell the doctor about the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid possible interaction.
• If you have missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule.
• Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away.
• Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention.
• Long-term use can cause weak bones and deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor.
• You should avoid consuming alcohol in excess, as it is known to increase acidity and can make your acidity worse.
• Stop having spicy and oily food.
