AMITONE PLUS tablet is used in the treatment of depression associated with anxiety. amitriptyline is a tricyclic anti-depressant. It works by increasing the levels of chemical messengers in the brain, thus it helps in regulating mood and treat depression. chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing certain chemical messengers in the brain which suppresses the abnormal nerve cells in the brain. Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. Take the complete course of medication do not skip any dose. Medication should not be stopped unless told by your doctor. your doctor may advise to monitor blood and liver functions while taking this medication for a long time.

The most common side effects are constipation, difficulty in urination, weight gain, confusion, tiredness, blurred vision, dryness in the mouth, increased heart rate, uncoordinated body movements, depression, memory impairment, and orthostatic hypotension. If the symptoms persist or worsen consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you notice any unusual mood changes that may lead to suicidal thoughts.

Before taking this medication inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, or breastfeeding, or have liver disease and using any other medications.
