AFIX-CA tablet is a combination of two antibiotics, a cephalosporin antibiotic and a beta-lactamase inhibitor. its works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival, enhancing cefixime's activity against bacteria and decreasing bacterial resistance, thereby killing the bacteria, preventing the spread of infections.

Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication, as it increases the risk of side effects.
The most common side effects of this medication are abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea & vomiting. If the symptoms persist or worsens, you need to consult your doctor immediately.
