ADVASTAT CV capsules are used to prevent future atherosclerosis (blood clots), heart attack & stroke. It works by blocking the body’s ability to produce bad cholesterol (ldl), improving the level of good cholesterol (hdl), prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots.Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. This medication has to be taken several weeks or months for you to see or feel its benefits.Do not stop this medication unless told by your doctor. alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage.

The most common side effects of these medications are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, dizziness, tiredness and muscle pain. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately.

Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medicines. This medication is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding as it may harm the baby.
