ABD-PLUS suspension is used in the treatment of parasites and worm infections in the body. whereas ivermectin works by binding to muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death, albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose) to lose energy and die. It fights against the worm to treat the infection.
this medication dose will be given based on your medical condition as prescribed by the doctor. Take this oral suspension on with or without food as prescribed by the doctor with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Before taking suspension check the label for directions. shake it well Before every use.
medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Do not take this medication longer than recommended by the doctor.
do not skip the dose even if you feel better to complete the full course. your doctor may also ask for laboratory and diagnostic tests to know the effects of the medicine on your body.
The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, and dizziness. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. your doctor may help you with other ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.
avoid drinking alcohol while you are taking this medicine, as alcohol can cause excessive drowsiness. You must take adequate rest for fast recovery, also take healthy diet and drink plenty of water.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medication.
albendazole and ivermectin suspension is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
