Ibugesic syrup is a combination of 2 painkiller medicines used to treat pain, fever and inflammation. It is also used to treat headaches, muscle pain, pain during periods, toothache and joint pain. It works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage.
The most common side effects of this medication are heartburn, indigestion, nausea and stomach pain. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor.
