Olmetor AM is used to treat high blood pressure. It is a combination of two medicines, namely amlodipine besilate and olmesartan medoxmil. It works by relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart attack or stroke.
Olmetor AM should be taken for several months to years. Do not stop taking this medication unless told by your doctor. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication because it may enhance blood pressure by reducing the effect of this medication.
This medication's most common side effects are oedema, sleepiness, dizziness, headache, taste change, stomach upset, palpitations, increased potassium levels, and tiredness. Before taking Olmetor AM tablets, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
