Petiol belongs to the class of proton pump inhibitors used to treat heartburn, peptic ulcer, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. This medicine reduces the excess production of acid in the stomach.

Take this medicine at a fixed time regularly to get better results. Do not take this medicine more than the recommended dose. The side effects include nausea, headache, vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness, and diarrhoea; if these symptoms bother you for a longer duration, inform your doctor.
