ocid injection is used to treat acid-related diseases of the stomach & intestine, heartburn, acid reflux, indigestion and peptic ulcer. it works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach, which helps relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
your doctor or nurse will give you an ocid injection. kindly do not self-administer. you can increase the efficiency of the treatment by eating smaller meals more often and avoid caffeinated drinks and spicy or fatty foods.
if you use this ocid injection with higher doses for more than 1 year, it may increase your risk for bone fractures. talk to your doctor about ways to prevent bone loss by taking calcium and vitamin d supplements. avoid alcohol consumption as it makes your stomach produce an excess amount of acid and worsen your symptoms.
most common side effects of this medication such as injection site reactions (pain, swelling and redness), diarrhoea, headache, nausea, stomach pain and vomiting. if the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately.
before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have a liver problem, suffering from bone loss and using any other medications.
inform your doctor if you are using medications for hiv, fungal infections, tuberculosis, epilepsy and some types of blood thinners.
