TRIQUILAR tablets are oral contraceptives used to prevent pregnancy in multiple ways and treat irregular periods. firstly, it makes the mucus in your cervix thick, thereby making sperm entry into the womb more difficult. secondly, it helps in the prevention of eggs released from ovaries. lastly, thickening of the lining of womb makes it unfavourable for the egg to grow. ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel tablet is a safe and reliable method for contraception if used correctly. it doesn’t affect a normal life routine.
you can take TRIQUILAR tablet with or without food, but it is recommended to take a fixed time. it should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. you will have to take the pill on day one of your menstrual cycle and continue taking it for a whole month. once the pack gets over, start with a new one. use a condom during intercourse for 2 days.
the most common side effects include vomiting, nausea, breast pain and diarrhoea. these side effects are usually minor and not serious but tell the doctor if they do not subside. if the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, or have liver & kidney problems and using any other medications
