LOSACAR A tablets are helpful in the treatment of high blood pressure. amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker. losartan potassium is an angiotensin receptor blocker. this combination of medication works by relaxing blood vessels and improves your blood flow.

take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. the dose and duration depend on your medical condition and how you are responding to medication. do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor. avoid smoking, reduce intake of salt, and have a low-fat diet.

common side effects are sleepiness, taste change, ankle swelling, headache, flushing, dizziness, tiredness, palpitations, upset stomach, and increased potassium level in blood. if these symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, (or) have liver or kidney problems, or have severe dehydration. monitor blood pressure and kidney function test regularly while taking this medication.
