Betnovate cream is used to treat skin diseases and rheumatic disorders. It works by depressing the formation, release, and activity of chemical mediators of inflammation. Betnovate cream is applied alone. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Take this medication for several weeks or months to see or feel the benefits. Apply cautiously as an excess application may lead to serious adverse effects. Do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage.
Most common side effects are itching, burning, dryness, redness, irritation, stinging, acne, unwanted hair growth, skin colour changes, bruising or shiny skin, tiny red bumps or rash around the mouth and small white or red spots on the skin.
If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. This medication may lower immunity and lead to blood, liver or kidney problems. Your doctor may advise on specific tests before and after the treatment to check for these issues.
