Melalite cream is used to reduce dark skin patches. Spots called melasma, liver spots, age spots and freckles which is caused due to pregnancy, birth control pills, hormone medicine, or injury to the skin by reducing the amount of skin-darkening pigment called melanin in the skin and also by helping in reversible depigmentation of the skin.
This medication may cause side effects such as erythema, dry skin, skin burn, skin peeling and itching. Inform your doctor if these effects bother or worsen your skin condition. Do not use more than recommended dose and duration as it may cause adverse effects such as skin reactions.
Stop using the medication and consult your doctor if itching, excessive inflammation, or swelling occurs.
