Amoxicillin syrup is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall that is essential for the survival of the bacteria. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor.
The most common side effects of these medications are nausea, vomiting, and headache. It may also cause diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash. If your child vomits within 30 minutes after taking medicine, repeat the dose after your child feels better. If the symptoms persist for a longer time, inform your doctor.
Inform your doctor if your child had a previous history of heart problems, blood disorders, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, gastrointestinal disorder, skin disorder, and kidney malfunction.
