Desval tablet is an anticonvulsant. It acts by decreasing abnormal nerve cell activity in the brain that causes convulsions. This medication also blocks the transmission of pain signals to the brain and produces calming effects.
Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. Don’t miss a dose. Complete the treatment course. Early stopping of this medication may worsen the condition and may trigger seizures. Don’t stop the medication even if you feel better. The doctor will advise blood tests while taking this medication to monitor the drug effects.
The common side effects of this tablet are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, sleepiness, hair loss, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, and blur vision. If the symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor. This medication may cause weight gain so, take a healthy diet and do regular exercises to control it.
