Unicontin is used to treat and prevent wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, airways obstruction caused by conditions such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other lung infections. It relaxes and opens air passages in the lungs, making it easier to breathe.
Unicontin tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Caution must be followed as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. This medication should take effect within 1 or 2 days. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage.
This medication's most common side effects are nausea/vomiting, stomach/abdominal pain, headache, trouble sleeping, diarrhoea, irritability, restlessness, nervousness, shaking, and increased urination. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately.
