Pth tablet is used to treat high calcium levels in the blood and hyperparathyroidism. It works by lowering a parathyroid hormone which makes calcium levels go back to normal. Pth tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications.
You are advised to take a pth tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Pth tablets have to be taken regularly to get the most benefit. Do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption is not known whether it is safe along with the pth tablet. Please consult your doctor.
This medication's most common side effects are vomiting, nausea, rash, headache, muscle pain, and diarrhoea. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience the above effects.
Your doctor may monitor your blood calcium level while taking a pth tablet.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to use any other medications. This medication is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding as it may harm the baby.
