Relgin tablet is used to treat parkinson's disease. It works by increasing the dopamine levels in the brain. Relgin tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage. If you suddenly stop taking relgin, you may experience withdrawal symptoms such as a fever, muscle stiffness, instability, lack of coordination, changes in consciousness. Tell your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms when your dose of relgin is decreased.
This medication's most common side effects include joint pain, dizziness, nausea & vomiting, and heartburn. Serious adverse effects include abdominal pain, dry mouth, anorexia, arthralgia and constipation. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the above effects, usually, your doctor prescribes the relgin in low doses and gradually increase the dose depending on your response to therapy
You need to inform your doctor if you are suffering from liver, kidney and heart diseases. Tell your doctor if you are on any other medication before starting the therapy, as it may increase interaction risk. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or a lactating mother. This medication is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding as it may harm the baby.
