Ticstop tablet is used to treat chorea associated with huntington's disease (a condition in which nerve cells in the brain break down over time), thus deteriorating the person's physical and mental abilities. Ticstop helps to enhance the quality of life by improving the ability to carry out daily functions in a better manner. It also helps to relieve uncontrollable and jerky movements of the body.
Ticstop tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Caution must be followed as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication.
This medication's most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, insomnia, anxiety, sleepiness, drowsiness, lowering of blood pressure, skin rash, depression, and fatigue. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. Your doctor might not advise you to take a ticstop tablet if you have a liver problem.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, or have parkinson’s disease, depression, liver, heart, & kidney problems and using any other medications. This medication is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding as it may harm the baby.
