Rosuchek 5D, a rosuvastatin calcium tablet, is used in the treatment of high cholesterol. rosuvastatin calcium is antihyperlipidemic. it works by blocking the enzyme (hmg-coa reductase), which is required to produce cholesterol in the body. hence, it reduces bad cholesterol, triglycerides levels and increases good cholesterol. Rosuchek 5D is a vitamin supplement that is given to treat muscle pain caused by rosuvastatin.
take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. along with this medication, you are advised to take low-fat foods, exercise regularly, and avoid smoking.
common side effects are dizziness, stomach pain, muscle pain, and constipation. consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. this medication may cause diarrhoea, so it is better to take it with food.
your doctor may advise monitoring of blood tests regularly to check calcium levels in your blood & also monitor liver functions and blood sugar levels. before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
