LUMIGO is a combination of two medications: artemether and lumefantrine, which belong to the class of antimalarial use to treat malaria. it fights against the infection by preventing the growth of the parasites inside the body. it works by increasing blood levels of heme, a substance that is toxic to the malaria parasite. it will kill the parasites and prevent the spread of infection.
the most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, weakness, dizziness, headache, muscle pain, and joint pain. do not take more than the recommended dose as it may cause side effects. avoid driving while taking this medication as it may cause decreased alertness, affects your vision, and make you feel sleepy. drink plenty of water to avoid dizziness. shake well before use. measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth.
