It reduces the amount of stomach acid, increases the rate of stomach emptying and relieves the pain associated with heartburn and acid reflux. Simple lifestyle changes can improve the gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd) symptoms. Avoid foods that trigger heartburn should be. It would be best if you took smaller, frequent meals. Do not eat within 3-4 hours before going to bed.
The most common side effects of Omentic-D include diarrhoea, flatulence, stomach pain, dryness in the mouth, and headache. These side effects are usually minor and not severe but inform the doctor if they do not subside. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. This medicine may cause sleepiness and dizziness. You should avoid driving immediately after taking medicine. Also, avoid consuming alcohol while taking this tablet. Tea, coffee, spicy food, cold milk and chocolates have to be avoided for better outcomes.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medications.
