Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that reduces antibiotic resistance towards bacteria and enhances the activity of amoxycillin.
This combination medicine can treat many different bacterial infections such as ear, nasal sinus, throat, lung (e.g., pneumonia), urinary tract, skin, teeth, joints, and bones. Take medicine for as long as it is prescribed, even if it makes you feel better within a few days. don’t quit the treatment unless the bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
The most common side effects of this medication include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea. after administering the injection, you may notice some symptoms of injection site reactions such as redness, swelling, and pain. usually, they resolve with time; if the symptoms persist for a longer duration, consult your doctor immediately.
