Aspar tablet belongs to the class of medications called a quinolone antibiotic. It works by inhibiting the enzyme dna gyrase and also inhibits the dividing process of bacteria, and cause bacterial cell death. Aspar tablet is an antibiotic medicine that you can use to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include the ear, nose, throat, lungs, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues in adults and children.
It inhibits the growth of the bacteria causing the infection. This medicine usually makes you feel better within few days. Ensure to continue the entire course of treatment effectively so that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
The most common side effects of this medication are dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, and bitter taste. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects may bother you or persist for a longer duration. These are usually temporary and resolved on their own. Diarrhoea may also occur as a side effect but only quit the medication until the completion of your course. Inform your doctor if it is constant or if you find blood in your stools. Don’t skip any doses and complete the entire course of treatment as long it is prescribed, even if you feel better.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your kidneys. You need to inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breastfeeding. Don’t take this medicine if you have a previous allergy to aspar tablet or any of its ingredients and have experienced any unwanted reactions like rash, swelling of the lips, tongue, or face, shortness of breath, or breathing problems after taking this medication.
Rarely, some people experience severe allergic reaction which needs immediate medical attention. Special care should be taken in people with kidney problems while taking this medicine.
