Orimet belongs to the class of antihistaminic and antiemetic drugs. It works by stopping the release of histamine by acting on receptors.
Orimet relieves symptoms like runny nose, urticaria, rashes, and itching when exposed to allergens like dust, pollens, and animal dander. Orimet also acts on some regions of vomiting centres, thereby helps in reducing the symptoms of nausea, vomiting and motion sickness.
The most common side effects are dizziness, visual disturbances, mouth dryness, respiratory depression and headache. If you experience the above side effects, immediately inform your doctor.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or lactating, as this medication may cause adverse effects on the baby. Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. Please do not stop the medication suddenly, as it sometimes causes withdrawal symptoms.
