Forgel might be prescribed by your doctor for pain relief that might have occurred due to your disease or traumas to muscle or joints.
This gel has diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid) that reduces inflammation and pain in the area of application; it works by inhibiting a substance responsible for pain called prostaglandin. Linseed oil helps in soothing sore muscles. Menthol gives a cooling effect. Methyl salicylate helps in reducing inflammation.
Forgel is used alone or in combination with other medications.
Although uncommon, side effects of this medication are eczema, photosensitization, contact dermatitis- itching, redness, oedema of the treated area of skin, papules, vesicles, peeling, generalized skin rash, allergic reactions.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medications.
