Dermatrax tablet is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. It works by preventing joint damage by killing rapidly growing cells. It is used in severe skin conditions such as psoriasis.
Dermatrax tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. This medication has to be taken for several weeks or months for you to see or feel its benefits. Do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage.
This medication's most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, tiredness, and mouth sores. You may be prescribed folic acid supplements to reduce some of these effects. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. This medication may lower immunity and lead to blood, liver or kidney problems. Your doctor may advise specific tests before and after the treatment to check for these issues.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medications. This medication is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding as it may harm the baby.
