Versitol tablet is an anticonvulsant. It acts by decreasing abnormal nerve cell activity in the brain that causes convulsions. This medication also blocks the transmission of pain signals to the brain.
Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. Don’t miss a dose. Complete the treatment course. Early stopping of this medication may worsen the condition and may trigger seizures. Don’t stop the medication even if you feel better. The doctor will advise blood tests while taking this medication to monitor the drug effects.
The common side effects of this tablet are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, unsteadiness, itching, blur vision, slurred speech, and dry mouth. If the symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor. If you develop mood swings, depression, or suicidal thoughts, consult your doctor immediately.
Inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, heart problems, urinary problems, or other mental problems. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or a breastfeeding mother.
