Cefrine works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body. It inhibits the growth of the bacteria causing the infection, thereby stops the further spread of infection. These include bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, and urinary tract among others.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. Complete the entire course of treatment as long as it is prescribed, and don’t quit the medication even if you feel better. Sudden stoppage of the treatment makes the bacteria survive, and infection may relapse.
