Valera M 500 Tablet 15's belongs to the group of medications called 'antidiabetic agents' used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medication improves glycaemic control in diabetic patients who do not react well to metformin alone. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic or life-long condition in which blood sugar or glucose levels rise more than normal. Valera M 500 Tablet 15's is a combination of two medicines: Metformin and Evogliptin. Metformin acts by decreasing liver glucose production and intestinal glucose uptake. On the other side, Evogliptin works by increasing insulin release from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces the fasting and post-meal sugar levels. Thereby, Valera M 500 Tablet 15's reduces sugar levels in the body.
