ALDRYL syrup is a combination of four medicines ammonium chloride, diphenhydramine hydrochloride, menthol and sodium citrate. This medication is used to treat cough. It works by loosening the mucus and making it easier to cough it out. This medication may also relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose and throat irritation. It starts working within minutes and lasts up to several hours.
this medication's most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, insomnia, skin rashes, blurred vision, diarrhoea, constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, urinary retention, and tremors.
this medication has to be taken for few days or one week. Do not continue the course without informing your doctor, as it may lead to severe side effects. If you stop the treatment too early, your symptoms may come back and worsen the condition.
Do not stop taking this medication unless told by your doctor. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication as it may cause sleepiness and liver damage. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
