Supracal Tablet 15s belongs to the group of medicines called nutritional supplements used to treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb/get enough nutrients from food. Vitamins are necessary for body development and the prevention of diseases.
Supracal Tablet 15s is a combination of four supplements, namely: Calcium citrate, cholecalciferol, magnesium and zinc. Calcium citrate makes the bones stronger by increasing their density. It helps in treating and preventing low calcium levels. Cholecalciferol is a form of vitamin D which helps in the absorption of calcium. Magnesium aids in the absorption of calcium by converting vitamin D into its active form. Zinc is necessary for bone-building cells and inhibits the formation of cells that cause the breakdown of bones. Together, Supracal Tablet 15s helps in strengthening of bones.
Take Supracal Tablet 15s with or without food. Swallow Supracal Tablet 15s as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break the tablet. You are advised to take Supracal Tablet 15s for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Let your doctor know if you are taking prescription, non-prescription drugs, or herbal products before starting Supracal Tablet 15s. If you are known to be allergic to Supracal Tablet 15s or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. Consult your doctor before taking Supracal Tablet 15s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Supracal Tablet 15s should not be given to children unless prescribed by a doctor. Avoid or limit consuming alcohol along with Supracal Tablet 15s.
