Revolade tablet is a prescription medicine. It belongs to a class of medications called thrombopoietin receptor agonists. It is used to treat low platelet count due to chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura or chronic hepatitis c virus infection. It is also used to treat severe aplastic anaemia.
This tablet is used to increase the number of platelets to decrease the risk of bleeding in adults and children 1 year of age and older who have chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
It is used in patients who have not benefited or cannot be treated with other treatments, including medications or surgery to remove the spleen.
It is usually given along with other medicines. Continue to avoid activities that may cause injury and bleeding during your treatment with revolade.
Most common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, upper respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bother you.
Before taking this tablet, inform your doctor if you have any preexisting medical conditions.
Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking. Dose adjustment may be required in patients with liver diseases. Inform your doctor.
