GUMEX-S mouthwash contains two medications potassium nitrate and sodium fluoride. both medications work in a different mechanisms.
potassium nitrate helps to avoid dental cavities and to decrease pain from sensitive teeth. it works by soothing the nerves. sodium fluoride works by stopping the demineralisation of teeth. it makes teeth healthier and more resistant to tooth deteriorating (works against bacteria that causes tooth decay). it further prevents dental cavities.
the most common side effects of this mouth wash are gum or mouth irritation and tooth stains. if these side effects persist for a longer duration, inform your doctor.
