starclav are together used to kill the bacteria, thereby prevents the infection. amoxicillin helps in stopping the growth of bacteria. clavulanic acid is used to reduce resistance and increase the activity of amoxicillin against bacteria. it can treat various bacterial infections like sinus, lung, bones, joints, teeth, ear, and throat. it usually takes few days to see the improvement of symptoms. still, it is recommended to complete the course of treatment. leaving the course incomplete can lead to resistance. it is recommended to give the solution to a child with the food to reduce the risk of stomach upset. it would be best if you used it as prescribed by the doctor. it is recommended to take on a fixed time. the dose depends on the infection. don’t stop the medicine too early; this may lead to the survival of some bacteria and increase chances of recurrence of infection or worsening of infection.
