C&C syrup is used to treat cough and relieve symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes itching, swelling, and congestion. whereas levocetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing, ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out.
the doctor will give this medication dose based on your medical condition as prescribed by the doctor. take this oral syrup with or without food as prescribed by the doctor with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. before taking syrup, check the label for directions. shake it well before every use. medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. do not take this medication longer than recommended by the doctor. do not skip the dose even if you feel better to complete the full course.
the most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, and dizziness. if the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. your doctor may help you with other ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.
this medication may also cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.
avoid drinking alcohol while you are taking this medicine, as alcohol can cause excessive dizziness. you must take adequate rest for fast recovery, also take healthy diet and drink plenty of water.
before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medication.
ambroxol hydrochloride and levocetirizine dihydrochloride syrup is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
