LEVOMAC OZ tablets are used in the treatment of diarrhoea and dysentery. levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone. it works by blocking the action of bacterial dna gyrase, which is required to synthesise bacterial dna. hence, it stops the growth of bacteria. ornidazole is nitroimidazole. it works by killing the parasites, and it damages the dna.
take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. do not take more or less than the prescribed dose. you must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor.
the most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, and headache. if symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor immediately. drink plenty of water or fluids to prevent dehydration. do not drive if any symptoms affect your driving ability. do not drink alcohol while taking this medication because it may cause excessive dizziness.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have liver & kidney disease and using any other medications.
