Oxipod cv tablets are used in the treatment of respiratory infections. Cefpodoxime proxetil is a 3rd generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It works by reducing the resistance and increases the activity of cefpodoxime proxetil against bacteria.
Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Medication should not be stopped unless told by your doctor.
The most common side effects of Oxipod cv are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and indigestion. Consult your doctor if the symptoms persist or worsen. Inform your doctor if you notice any allergic reaction like rashes, itching, swelling, and shortness of breath. Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication because it may cause excessive drowsiness. Do not drive after taking this medication because it may cause dizziness or sleepiness, affecting your ability to drive.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and using any other medications.
